GCSE English & Maths

Courses
– our intensive courses in GCSE English and Maths

are very popular. Across a single academic year you will

develop your skills in your chosen subject prior to taking

exams in the Summer term. Learners are able to study at

Foundation or Higher level and this will be agreed in

discussion with the tutor.

Requirements – all learners must be working at Level 2 in

their particular subject. This will be assessed through initial

assessment prior to a place on the course being offered.

Learners are expected to complete work outside of the

classroom in order to consolidate their learning (2-3 hours

a week) and GCSE English students will need to complete

coursework. GCSE Maths students will need to obtain the

course text book, a scientific calculator and maths set: full

details will be given at enrolment.

Support – where necessary, learners will be offered

additional support from the Skills for Life team. Occasional

Saturday Maths workshops will be held during the course

to support on-going development of skills.

To find out more, contact a member of the team on

(01733) 708066 or drop in for a chat before you enrol onto

a course.

You may be eligible for a concessionary fee. Instalment payment option applies.
