Foundation Learning 16-18
You will enjoy learning about working in the construction industry, specifically learning about painting and decorating. You will learn basic skills in the College's fully equipped construction rom. The course consists of a range of topics to include:
- Wallpapering
- Prepare surfaces for painting
- Textured finish and coving
The course also includes Functional Skills in ICT, Maths and English.
Personal and social development skills including:
- Working as part of a group
- Problem solving
- Healthy living
- Money management

This programme is designed for sutdents interested in working in the construction industry, specifically carpentry. This course will teach you the basic skills of jhoinery in the College's fully equipped construction room.
The course consists of a range of topics to include:
- Make a window frame
- Tenon and mortise joint
- Skirting, architrave, dado, picture raling
- Door hanging
The course also includes Functional Skills in ICT, Maths and English.
