BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

 

Foundation Learning 16-19

Designed for students who want to work in an office. The programme includes:

  • Welcoming visitors
  • Handling mail
  • Professional behaviour in an office environment
  • Producing documents in a business enviornment
  • Functional skills including ICT, Maths and English.

 

Personal and social development skills including:

* Working as part of a group

* Problem solving

* Healthy living

* Money management

 

Apprenticeship

|You will achieve 5 units of an NVQ Administration at Level 2

  • Work within your Busines Environment
  • Carry out your responsibilities at work
  • Three other optional units are chosen depending upon the type of job you are doing.

 

You will complete a technical Certificate Level 2 which will incorporate training in relevant ICT skills nd Employment Rights and Responsibilities.

 

Advanced Apprenticeship

Designed for students who typically have supervisory/team leader responsibility in the workplace.  You will achieve 7 units for your NVQ Administration at Level 3.

* Work within your Business Environment

* Carry out your responsibilities at work

* Five other optional units are chosen depeneding upon the type of job you are joing.

 

You will also complete a technical certificate Level 3 which will incorporate skills and Employment Rights and Responsibilities.

 

CUSTOMER SERVICE

 

Foundation Learning 16-18

Designed for students who want to work in a Customer Service environment.  The course consists of:

  •  Communciations
  •  Telephone techniques
  •  Dealing with difficult customers

 

Functional skills including ICT, Maths and English.  Personal and social development skills including

  •  Working as part of a group
  •  Problem solving
  •  Healthy living
  •  Money Management 

Apprenticeship

The course consists of achieving 7 units of the NVQ customer service Level 2

  • Prepare yourself to deliver good customer service
  • Provide customer service within the rules
 

Plus 5 from the following themes:

  • Impression and image
  • Delivery
  • Handling problems
  • Development and improvement
  • Technical Certificate and Employer-led Induction incorporating Employment Rights & Responsibities
  • Key Skills Communication Level 1 and Application of Number Level 1
Advanced Apprenticeship

Designed for students who typically have supervisor/team leader responsibility in the workplace.  You will achieve 8 units of NVQ Customer Service Level 3.

  • Understand customer service to improve service delivery
  • Know the rules to follow when developing customer service
  • 6 optional units relevant to your work placement
  • Technical Certificate Level 2 which will incorporate training in relevant ICT Skils and Employment Rights & Responsibilities
  • Key Skills Communication Level 2 and Application of Number Level 2

IT USER (Apprenticeship Level 2 and Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3)

You will improve your IT skills in preparation for work and to progress onto a Level 2 qualification. You will cover:

  • Artwork and imaging software
  • Database
  • Email software
  • IT Security

Functional Skills including ICT, Maths and English

Personal and social development skills including:

  • Working as part of a group
  • Problem solving
  • Healthy living
  • Money management

 Apprenticeship

 

You will achieve an ITQ in Level 2.

  • You will earn 38 credits, our of which are from the mandatory unit
  • The credits are gained by completing units that are specific to your work role
  • Completion of Employer Rights & Responsibilities will be required to show you are aware of relevant employment legislation to your work placement
  • Key Skills Communication Level 1 and Application of Number Level 1

 

 

IT USER (Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3)

 

Designed for students with people or IT system responsibilities.  You will achieve at ITQ at Level 3.

 

You will earn 39 credits, 5 of which are from the mandatory unit

  • The credits are gained by completing units that are specific to your work role
  • Completion of Employer Rights & Responsbilities will be required to show that you are aware of relevant employment legislation relating to the ICT industry sectory you are working in.
  • Key Skills Communication Level 2 and Application of Number Level 2

IT PROFESSIONAL (Apprenticeship Level 2)

 

Apprenticeship

You will achieve an ITQ Level 2. You will work towards achiving 48 credits in ICT Professional  and 12 credits in ICT Systems and Principles.

  • Credits achieved by completing units that are specific to your work role
  • Completion of Employer Rights & Responsibilities to demonstrate awareness of relevant employment legislation related to your ICT work placement.
  • Key Skills Communication Level 1 and Application of Number Level 1.
