Preparing you for Work

 

Foundation Learning 16-18

If you do not know what you want to do when you leave school, this course will give you a wide range of skills to help you get into the workplace. You will study towards achieving a Certificate in Progression at Entry Level 3 or Level 1.

The programme runs for around 24 weeks and is tailored to help you achieve.

Examples of accredited units:

  • Career planning
  • Preparation for Work
  • Preparing for Interview

 

You can enjoy a taste of one, or more, of the following programmes to help you find out more about the type of work involved in these areas:

  • Office skills
  • Construction 
  • Motor Vehicle Maintenance
  • Hair & Beauty
  • Childcare
  • Catering
  • ICT

 

You will also study towards a Functional Skills award in English, Maths and ICT.  The programme includes Personal Social Development skills: 

  • Working as part of a group
  • Problem solving
  • Healthy Living
  • Money Management
